SAS has lots going on at its annual meeting at FACSS and we want you to be part of the activities.

Join us for our 3nd annual SAS Member’s Day during the 2011 FACSS meeting in Reno, Nevada (only current SAS Members may attend). On Sunday, October 2, from 10:30-3:00 pm SAS Members will be treated to an afternoon on Lake Tahoe aboard the Tahoe Queen! Whether you're enjoying the spectacular views or enjoying the delicious Italian lunch buffet and open bar, you're sure to have a great time mixing and mingling with your favorite SAS members. If you haven't already sent in your R.S.V.P. you should do so ASAP as space is filling up quickly! Contact the SAS office at 301-694-8122 to get your name on the list!

After a relaxing afternoon on the Lake, head over to the Grand Sierra Resort for an evening of exhilarating science and networking during the SAS Student Poster Session and FACSS Opening Mixer. Four outstanding SAS students will be rewarded for their hard work in spectroscopy. The session starts at 7:00 pm.

Monday evening, October 3, SAS Student Members get their chance to get to know each other at the Annual SAS Student Event.  Details will be coming soon!

On Tuesday night, October 4, SAS members are cordially invited to the annual SAS Wine and Cheese Awards reception. This year’s distinguished award winners include Honorary Member Awardee Karl Norris and Distinguished Service Awardee Michael Carrabba. We will also honor many other outstanding scientists so be sure to join us.
